How to Form a Team

There are three types of teams
1) Teams where each team member pays for him/herself
2) Teams where a company pays for a set number of registrations ahead of time
3) Teams that are a benefit of being an official event sponsor


1) For a team where each team member pays for him/herself

a) Create the Team Name: The first person on your team to register through this registration link will need to select "Create a Team" in the "Team Information" section. Then, enter in the team name (and a team description if you'd like), and choose whether others joining the team will need to enter in a password.  

b) Everyone else registers and joins the team
Each tea
m member (including the person who creates the team online) needs to register for the event through this registration link. To join the team, click the circle next to "Join a Team" and search for the team or select the team name from the list. 


2) For a team where a company pays for a set number of registrations
 ahead of time

a) Pay for the Team

Click on the 
registration link and choose the desired team type:

Team of up to 10 participants for $250.00
Team of up to 15 participants for $350.00
Team of up to 25 participants for $500.00

The individual paying for the team may also create the team name and register him/herself as an event participant at this time (optional: the individual paying for the team does not need to create the team name or be an event participant).

b) Create the Team Name (if not done at the time the team was paid for)
The first person on your team to register as a "Corporate Team Member: $0" event participant through this
registration link will need to select "Create a Team" in the "Team Information" section. Then, enter in the team name (and a team description if you'd like), and choose whether others joining the team will need to enter in a password.  

c) Everyone else registers and joins the team
Each team member (including the person who creates the team online, step b) needs to register for the event through this
registration link using the "Corporate Team Member: $0" category). To join the team, click the circle next to "Join a Team" and search for the team or select the team name from the list. 


3) For the team of an official event sponsor

a) Create the Team Name
The person who will be registering the team name clicks on this
registration link, and then clicks register and chooses the "Sponsorship Team Member" event category. The individual fills in the required information and selects "Create a Team" in the "Team Information" section. Then, enter in the team name (and a team description if you'd like), and choose whether others joining the team will need to enter in a password. Note: the person creating the team does not need to be someone who will be attending the event, but they still will need to enter the required information in order to create the team.

b) Everyone registers and joins the team
Each team member (including the person who creates the team online, step a) needs to register for the event through this registration link using the "Sponsorship Team Member" category. (The person who creates the team online, step a, may register for the event at the same time he/she creates the team). To join the team while registering for the event, click the circle next to "Join a Team" and search for the team or select the team name from the list. 


After creating your team and registering, 

  • Set goals
  • Raise pledges
  • Train together    
    • Run, walk, wheel or do Zumba together prior to the event—once a week, once a month—whatever works
    • Have a celebratory breakfast or lunch together after Stride & Glide at your favorite restaurant.
